A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Syrah and Merlot. Primus The Blend has ripe red and black berry fruit flavors with exotic spice. A full-bodied wine with a lingering finish. The grapes are hand-picked, double sorted, fermented and left on the skins after fermentation to extract deep color and rich flavors. The best lots of the vintage are selected, married to blend harmoniously and aged in French oak for a minimum of 12 months.

In select years, the exceptional flavors and characteristics of a wine give the potential for a Reserve selection that stands above the rest. In 2010, the Finger Lakes experienced an ideal warm vintage for this classic red variety. Fermented in small lots and aged in a mix of new and old French oak barrels, this wine exhibits phenomenal color and structure. Robust plum and red berry scents open up beautifully in the glass while firm, round tannins sumptuously coat the mouth. Look for this Cabernet to age gracefully.

The dry style Riesling is the signature of Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard. Exceptional grapes from each of our three vineyard locations come together to create this mouth-watering wine. This wine is fermented in small lots to ensure quality and then blended to perfection to create an elegant and balanced wine. With each vintage, we seek to match the appropriate level of fruit flavor with refreshing crispness that lets the true qualities of the Riesling grape shine through. Hints of lime and orange blossom on the nose set the stage for a succulent palate of apricot and grapefruit.

The variety is particularly notable in Mantinia, where it is the main constituent in the AOC Mantinia blend. Wine made from Moschofilero is usually referred to as Blanc de Gris in reference to the clear juice held inside the pink-grey grapes. When crafted into wine Moschofilero is light in color, ranging from almost translucent through to pale-yellow, silver and grey.

Producing an aromatic white wine that belies its outward color, Moschofilero is an indigenous grape variety with a pronounced reddish-grey skin that has been cultivated in Greece since, well, the Greeks. This Peloponnese vin gris has a dollop of Messinian Roditis blended in (also rose-skinned), making Nikifourou's offering positively lip-smacking and thirst-quenchingly crisp.
